Directions & Parking
Saturday, September 7th
General Admission Parking will be at Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) (501 College Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22902). Please allow at least 30 minutes for travel time from PVCC to the festival. Directional signage and Monticello staff will be along Route 20 to direct you to PVCC and overflow parking locations if needed. Shuttles to the festival from PVCC will run continuously throughout the day.
For Preferred Parking at the Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center on Saturday, September 7th, you must purchase a Combination Ticket ($24).
Please be advised that workshops and lectures in the Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center are a 15 minute walk or shuttle ride from the mountaintop festival site. Please plan your schedule to allow for travel time.
Friday, September 6th
For all events on Friday, September 6th, (Premium Workshops, The Grand Tasting, The Grand Preview Dinner) free parking will be available at the Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center.
Directions
From Washington, D.C. and points North:
Take Interstate 66 West to U.S. 29 South at Gainesville. Follow U.S. 29 South into Charlottesville and look for the signs for the U.S. 250 West/U.S. 29 South Bypass. Follow this bypass to Interstate 64 East (direction Richmond). Take Interstate 64 East and get off at Exit 121A onto Va. Route 20 South (direction Scottsville). Turn right at College Drive. Drive up the hill to the PVCC parking lots.
From Richmond and points East:
Take Interstate 64 West to Exit 121 at Charlottesville. At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Va. Route 20 South. Take the first right onto College Drive. Drive up the hill to the PVCC parking lots.
From Lynchburg and points South:
Take U.S. 29 North to Charlottesville. Take Interstate 64 East (direction Richmond) and get off at Exit 121A onto Va. Route 20 South (direction Scottsville). Take the first right onto College Drive. Drive up the hill to the PVCC parking lots.
From Staunton and points West:
Take Interstate 64 East to Charlottesville and get off at Exit 121A onto Va. Route 20 South (direction Scottsville). Take the first right onto College Drive. Drive up the hill to the PVCC parking lots.
