Whole Foods 5@5 fundraiser

Whole Foods has provided support to the HHF since its inception, helping to get the first festival off the ground in 2007 with a substantial grant. This year, Whole Foods is donating sales of from weekly wine tastings though August to the festival. Visit the store in the Shoppers World shopping center in Charlottesville from 5 to 7 p.m. on each Friday in August, where, for a $5 donation, you can sample five different types of wine paired with delicious food. Local Music, Local Food concert to benefit 2009 HHF

Virginia singer-songwriters Devon Sproule and Adrienne Young and The Old Faithful will be the featured performers at the benefit, which will be held at Monticello’s new Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center and Smith Education Center on Aug. 8. Enjoy a local food tasting, seed-saving demonstrations, and the chance to explore the new Monticello Museum Shop and Garden Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
